Efficient energy usage for our veterans in West LA
The West Los Angeles Veteran Affairs Campus is expanding to provide more than 1,200 housing units for formerly homeless and at-risk veterans. The expansion will involve both new construction and redevelopment to provide a vibrant and comfortable community for our veterans and their families. We’ve supported the campus expansion with our ECC Verifications and Air Balancing services.
Our ECC verifications and tests are measured to earn a GreenPoint Rated certification, recognizing the development’s commitment to energy efficiency, environmental friendly, and healthy living spaces. A few of the verifications and tests we provided include air leakage, blower door, and duct leakage tests. Our verifications and tests resulted in passing evaluations, officially certifying that the new veteran homes are energy efficient and performing as designed.
For Air Balancing, we adjusted various HVAC systems for dwelling units and common areas. Some of the systems include fan coil units, supply/exhaust fans, and make-up air units. Overall, the adjustment of the HVAC systems ensured optimal performance and distribution throughout the units and common areas.
We are proud to contribute to the VA campus expansion and ensure energy efficiency for our veterans.
