Acceptance Testing
Mechanical Acceptance Testing (MAT)
We specialize in performing MAT for nonresidential, high-rise residential, and hotel/motel buildings
under California’s Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6). Our MAT services can often complement or substitute our Multifamily ECC Verifications depending on the project’s plans and configurations. For instance, 100% Multifamily sample testing will require Acceptance Testing to ensure the project is in compliance. Throughout our testing and in coordination with the project team, our technicians complete the required NRCA certifications to ensure equipment and systems are in full compliance.
Lighting Controls Acceptance Testing (LCAT)
Alongside MAT, some buildings may require separate acceptance testing for the lighting systems and controls under the Title 24 Energy Code. We are certified to perform LCAT to ensure a building, whether it is residential or nonresidential, functions as intended and is compliant. Properly functioning and compliant lighting systems improve energy efficiency and prevent delays in moving occupants in the building.
Our comprehensive Acceptance Testing services verify:
- Proper installation of mechanical and lighting systems
- Functionality of equipment and controls
- Compliance with Title 24 prescriptive or performance criteria
- Full energy benefits are received as intended for building owners and occupants
