Formerly known as the Home Energy Rating System (HERS), the updated Energy Code Compliance (ECC) Program is a required compliance process used to verify that building systems—such as ducts, HVAC performance, insulation, and ventilation—meet California Energy Code (Title-24, Part 6) standards. As ECC-Raters, we verify and test new construction, alterations, and additions across residential and nonresidential development.

Absolute Efficiency Group is an approved Whole-House ECC-Rater for projects aiming to achieve beyond compliance standards. We also verify and consult projects to achieve performance-based ratings and certifications such as Energy Star, Zero Net Energy, LEED for Homes, GreenPoint Rating, and CalGreen.

Multifamily ECC Verifications and Tests

We are a trusted ECC-Rater for new construction, alteration, and addition multifamily developments throughout California. Our technicians are experienced in conducting 100% or group sample verifications depending on the development’s requirements. From installation to final inspection, we ensure a building’s energy systems are performing as designed to meet any benchmarks such as ENERGY STAR, LEED, GreenPoint Rated, or CalGreen.
