Formerly known as the Home Energy Rating System (HERS), the updated Energy Code Compliance (ECC) Program is a required compliance process used to verify that building systems—such as ducts, HVAC performance, insulation, and ventilation—meet California Energy Code (Title-24, Part 6) standards. As ECC-Raters, we verify and test new construction, alterations, and additions across residential and nonresidential development.
We specialize in the following ECC Verifications and Tests:
- Fan Watt Draw / Fan Efficacy Measurements
- Existing Conditions Documentation
- Quality Insulation Installation (QII)
- Domestic Hot Water System Verification
- Compartmentalization Blower Door Testing (multi-unit dwellings and commercial buildings)
- Duct Leakage Testing
- Whole-House Ventilation / Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Testing
- High-Performance Attic & Wall Inspections
- Refrigerant Charge & Airflow Verification
- CF-3R Compliance Documentation via CHEERS
