Production Manager
Position Summary
The Production Manager is a senior operations leadership role responsible for overseeing all day-to-day production activities for Absolute Efficiency Group, Inc. This position ensures that field operations related to ECC (formerly HERS) ratings, Title-24 compliance testing, air balancing (TAB), and mechanical acceptance testing (MATT) are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all applicable codes, program requirements, and company standards.
The Production Manager serves as the primary link between ownership, field staff, office administration, and clients. This role is critical to maintaining quality, controlling costs, meeting schedules, and scaling operations as the company grows.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage daily/weekly scheduling of field technicians for ECC/HERS, TAB, and MATT services.
- Oversee project timelines and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
- Conduct QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with Title-24, NEBB/TABB, and registry standards
- Supervise and mentor field managers, leads, and technicians.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support technician certification growth.
- Coordinate with builders, contractors, and program managers (CHEERS, CalSHAPE, etc.).
- Review and ensure accurate completion of CF2R/CF3R, NRCI/NRCA/NRCV, and LEED/ENERGY STAR/GreenPoint documentation.
- Perform random site checks and provide technical support for complex testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- ECC/HERS Rater.
- NEBB/TABB Air Balancing Certification (or in progress).
- NLCAA and MATT Certifications.
- LEED Green Rater or GreenPoint Rater credential.
- OSHA 30.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in HVAC, energy compliance, mechanical acceptance testing, or building performance.
- 3+ years of supervisory or management role overseeing field staff or project teams.
- Strong knowledge of California Title-24 Part 6 compliance and ECC/HERS, TABB, and MATT procedures.
- Experience with scheduling software and project portals (JobNimbus, CHEERS).
- Experience with Microsoft or Google Suite.
Compensation and Benefits
- $85,000-$110,000 annually (depending on experience & certifications).

Project Field Technician
Position Summary
The Field Project Technician is an associate-level role responsible for contributing to the day-to-day production activities for Absolute Efficiency Group. The Field Project Technician assists Field Project Managers in the delivery of services related to ECC (formerly HERS) ratings, Title-24 compliance testing, air balancing (TAB), and mechanical acceptance testing (MATT). Services are predominantly provided for the new construction of single-family, multifamily, or commercial development sites throughout Los Angeles County.
The ideal candidate for this position is a growth-oriented, curious individual with an established understanding of our services, the construction industry, and Title 24 compliance. A successful Field Project Technician will produce an immediate benefit to our operations and be primed for a promotion to Field Project Manager and supervisory positions after earning the necessary certifications and credentials.

- Assist Field Project Managers in the delivery of ECC/HERS, TAB, and MATT services to current and prospective clients.
- Assist Field Project Managers and Admin.
- Understand our internal project procedures and timeline.
- Review and ensure accurate completion of CF2R/CF3R, NRCI/NRCA/NRCV, and LEED/ENERGY STAR/GreenPoint documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- ECC/HERS Rater.
- NEBB/TABB Air Balancing Certification (or in progress).
- NLCAA or MATT Certifications.
- LEED Green Rater or GreenPoint Rater credential.
- ENERGY STAR® Single Family Homes or Multifamily New Construction.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in HVAC, energy compliance, mechanical acceptance testing, building performance, or related educational experience (newly certified applicants are welcome).
- Intermediate knowledge of California Title-24 Part 6 compliance and ECC/HERS, TABB, or MATT procedures.
- Experience or capability to utilize technological applications (e.g. JobNimbus, Company Cam, Dropbox).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical plans.
- Experience with Microsoft or Google Suite.
- Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 40 lbs. consistently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean record (personal vehicle is not necessary).
Compensation and Benefits
- $23-$30 full-time hourly pay, $70-$80 hourly as needed for prevailing wage jobs.
